NLP in Education

NLP is about building emotional capacity, be that for the child, the teenager, the learner, the teacher, the tutor, the lecture, the parent.

Using NLP skills and technqiues means treating everyone as an individual and recognising in that all we do, we do things well, interesting is that many of the things we do well are often not useful, in respect of learning.jigsaw

For example Rosie used to believe she couldn't do Maths because when she was 6 she created a poor strategy and believe me she did really. The strategy served her well for around 40 years (and she found many ways to cheat). Then using NLP she realised that she was telling herself, and doing this really well, that she had a problem with numbers. The more she had told herself this the more she believed it. A few changes to her poor strategy and she has a useful strategy for numbers now, one that works.

We would like children to have these useful strategies earlier in life, some children will learn quickly and easily, simply because they do well as they have been encouraged, stimulated or whatever you want to call that and others will have blocks. And as parents or teachers we sometimes are at our wits end to know what to do to help the child or teenager or even, ourselves.

51928rygpiye2f6Using NLP as a teacher and/or as a parent you can help your child, the children in your class to change what they have been doing into a useful strategy for them. We can help you find out how; it will often be different for different children, or sometimes only slightly different.

Do you think a child is disengaged?

Ever wondered why or how this happens?

NLP can give you the answers and the tools to help find out how a child learns and plan with them how they can learn more effectively.

For the child this is the start of a stress free life, for you as a parent you will understand more about yourself and your child and make up a powerful team.  As a teacher you will have skills you never knew you needed and save so many children from being "labelled" and make your life and theirs easier.

Contact us to find out how we can provide help for individuals, classes, schools, using the form on the left of this page.

We also can give you tips to find the best way for you to learn, be it for your Driving Test, for your next exam or to impress others, such as teachers or parents, and prove you can do it!

Simple revision strategies, which, Mum and Dad, are far from what you thought they should be and the kids will love them and they work.

Learning or "Learning Difficulties" (that's a nominalisation, a generalisation, and various deletions and distortions in NLP terms - it means many things to many people)

NLP has ways of discovering how you do what you do, and giving you a strategy that works instead, but it's all down to the individual, there is no "one size fits all".

Just because you or your child "don't learn the way others do" you or they are not broken, they just do things differently. NLP is also extremely useful to build up and extend how you already learn and give you some other options.
