LAB (Language and Behaviour Profile) Practitioner
Thornton, Fife 4th, 5th and 6th August 2010
Increase your influence with individuals and groups
Gain new options in how to motivate people
Avoid triggering resistance to your communication
Imagine what you could accomplish by identifying motivational triggers from simple conversation!
Recognise what will stimulate and maintain someone's motivation and, on the other hand, what will turn him or her off.
By knowing a person's (or team's) patterns you'll be able to predict behaviour and you'll learn how to specifically match your language and behaviour to theirs, to spark and maintain interest and enthusiasm.
The LAB Profile (origins in Karl Jung's Personality Types and then a derivation of NLP Meta Programs) provides a set of questions that can be asked formally or incorporated into everyday conversation to elicit motivational and behavioural patterns. It gives you the most appropriate language to use to achieve the results you want.
Additionally, through awareness of your own patterns, you can play to your own strengths and work better with others.
On this seminar you'll learn a rigorous methodology for using the LAB Profile, conduct and test profiles to ensure accuracy, detect combination patterns from language and behaviour and explore the LAB Profile's diverse applications.
Applications for:
Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Recruitment, Health Care, Training, Presentations, Coaching, Customer Service, Personal Relationships, Team Building and so much more
3-day Seminar - inc. LAB Profile Practitioner Certification day
What we will cover will depend to some degree on the group.

Magical Spelling - Licensed Teacher Training
Module 1, 16th October 2010, 9.30 – 4.30
Module 2, 4th December 2010, 9.30 – 4.30
¡ Do you work with children (or adults) who struggle with spelling?
¡ Are you concerned about the impact ‘poor’ spelling can have on people’s esteem and reputation?
¡ Are you interested in learning a powerful yet simple mental strategy proven to help people spell?
What is Magical Spelling
‘Magical Spelling’ is a visual learning strategy which allows people to easily remember the spelling of English words.
Why learn it?
Spelling is a capability, learnt easily by many, more difficult for some, and a huge challenge for others.
This way of learning to spell isn’t magical at all, it’s very ordinary. As far as we know nearly everyone who can spell English words consistently and accurately uses it. It is only magical for those many people who have tried to use other mental strategies to learn to spell and despite many long hours of study have failed. These people, many of them very intelligent, are often branded lazy, stupid or careless. They sometimes believe it themselves. Specific difficulty with spelling may affect many areas of their lives:
- how they think of and esteem themselves as learners;
- the interests they pursue;
- how they are perceived by others;
- and in adulthood, the jobs they might go for.
In addition to preventing mis-spellings, “Magical Spelling” allows writing to become more fluent, and reading to become faster, smoother and more accurate.
How can you learn it?
NLP Highland is hosting 2 day modules, with 3 weeks in between to practise and build confidence.
Module One: overview and experience of the Magical Spelling process, the separate stages, key values, underpinning philosophy and theoretical background.
Home study pack for 21 days of practical observations plus the software for desktop practice tutor.
Module Two: practising the process on others, maintaining a learning state, understanding diverse learning styles and adjusting the process accordingly. Each participant will receive Clean Feedback and coaching.
The Trainer: the course is delivered by Cheryl Winter - Cheryl works with PGCE students studying Mentoring and Coaching in Education at Liverpool John Moore’s University, primary and secondary school children and works closely with teachers who support children with dyslexia. She is a Licensed Trainer of Magical Spelling and an NLP Master Practitioner.
Accreditation: completion of this programme can lead to your own License as a Magical Spelling Tutor with LJMU. Subject to demonstrating the required skills, experienced tutors will undergo certification at the end of Module 2.
Cost £ 240.--, including practical notes and a copy of the software for desktop practice tutor.

Learning Objectives:
- Setting outcomes cleanly.
- Setting and clarifying the goals then becomes a skill for life.
What our clients say:-
From teachers
They are clear about the steps they must take........... I plan to use short term goal setting to achieve improvements in writing positive language........Very useful. Helps to clarify what it is you really want, as well as how to get there.
Joanne Mackay, English
Their outcome is so much more meaningful to them – they can identify “realistic” steps to achieve it........ I plan to enable pupils to make decisions about goals without “butting in“ and talking over.....It enables individual pupils to take control of their own learning.
