Becoming a More Effective Educator
Sat/Sun 24th/25th Feb 2012
A 2-day course introducing the skills of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). This course is designed for teachers, educators, tutors, parents and students, in whatever area of teaching and learning and let’s face it, we all learn and we all teach someone, something.
Includes Spelling workshop 'Ways with Tricky Words.
NLP is about what people do, how they do it and why they do it. It is about developing skills and techniques, modelling and creating excellence, having positive outcomes, working with integrity and in harmony with people and much more. To us training/teaching/learning is about the same things.
Applications of NLP in the field of training/teaching/learning/parenting are:
- Designing training/teaching/learning/parenting,
- Finding out how people learn (and why),
- Developing strategies for success,
- Modelling these strategies based upon success and what works, then taking it further,
- Helping learners to find their own “best way”,
- Giving learners practical tools,
- Allowing learners to experiment,
- Focusing on outcomes,
- Developing training/teaching/learning/parenting skills,
- Improving the delivery of teaching,
- Helping the teacher be a role-model,
- Making training/teaching/learning/parenting even more fun, interesting and useful,
- Creating reference experiences for people,
- Moving training/teaching/learning/parenting onward into the “real” world (based on the individual learner’s particular map of the world).
Covering, capitalising on learning styles, and expanding them, spotlights in training/teaching/learning/parenting, filters to influence learning, creativity and how to harness it.

LAB (Language and Behaviour Profile) Practitioner
for Master Practitioner course content see here
18th, 19th and 20th May 2012
Increase your influence with individuals and groups
Gain new options in how to motivate people
Avoid triggering resistance to your communication
Imagine what you could accomplish by identifying motivational triggers from simple conversation!
Recognise what will stimulate and maintain someone's motivation and, on the other hand, what will turn him or her off.
By knowing a person's (or team's) patterns you'll be able to predict behaviour and you'll learn how to specifically match your language and behaviour to theirs, to spark and maintain interest and enthusiasm.
The LAB Profile (origins in Karl Jung's Personality Types and then a derivation of NLP Meta Programs) provides a set of questions that can be asked formally or incorporated into everyday conversation to elicit motivational and behavioural patterns. It gives you the most appropriate language to use to achieve the results you want.
Additionally, through awareness of your own patterns, you can play to your own strengths and work better with others.
On this seminar you'll learn a rigorous methodology for using the LAB Profile, conduct and test profiles to ensure accuracy, detect combination patterns from language and behaviour and explore the LAB Profile's diverse applications.
Applications for:
Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Recruitment, Health Care, Training, Presentations, Coaching, Customer Service, Personal Relationships, Team Building and so much more
3-day Seminar - inc. LAB Profile Practitioner Certification day
What we will cover will depend to some degree on the group.
Our aim is for you to:
Refine your skill in eliciting a Profile
Hear and use many more examples of various language patterns
Know which pattern in a profile is most important - the ‘driver'.
Discover typical patterns for various situations - e.g. someone in a ‘stuck state', someone committed, someone happy with you/your work
Pick up patterns during normal conversation
Improve on predicting behaviours from pattern combinations
