My background is varied, I started out working in accounts and banking in Germany (speaking German as a native is another talent), I went on to own a bakery and run a delicatessen, I have also hired out cranes and chased payment for them, repaired cars and owned and run a language company. And I am also a Mechanical Engineer somewhere along the way.
I came to NLP through language teaching to engineers, I had never taught before and I wanted to know how to make learning fun and easy for adults. I then worked with very small children, and others who had been told they were not gifted or wouldn’t make the grade, and I set up a training package to train people who spoke good German and knew the culture, to teach children useful things in German and incorporate some of this NLP magic in the learning.
We use NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming – the Art and Science of generating alternative and better behaviours) with Companies to aid the generation of alternative behaviours, to enable people to understand themselves and others. The biggest challenge in any organisation is probably communication, the larger the organisation, the more of a challenge communications become. Our greater reliance on technology (and ‘labour-saving devices’) and the growing support for diversity in the workforce, mean that effective communication is getting more of challenge, and yet it is also becoming more important than ever.
Since January 2004 my company NLP Highland has been providing and delivering training in NLP and NLP-based training for companies, individuals, and organisations throughout the Highlands and Islands, Moray, Aberdeen and Grampian.
