I have had a very varied career. I’m a graduate of Edinburgh University and spent a number of years in personnel administration in a voluntary organisation. I subsequently taught Business Studies in Aberdeen College, qualifying as a Further Education Teacher from Jordanhill College, Glasgow. After accepting voluntary severance in 1998, I have worked in a vocational training centre for people recovering from brain injury. My interest in NLP started when I was undertaking Life Coach training. My tutor was himself an NLP Master and encouraged me to move on to Practitioner Training. I attended a couple of Rosie’s two-day courses and then subsequently completed the full Practitioner award with NLP Highland at the end of 2005. I greatly value this qualification and try to live up to NLP teachings and practices in both personal and professional life.
I have a life-long interest in the therapeutic uses of hypnotism and hold a number of qualifications in that area. I have also diploma level qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Life Coaching, Stress Management, Coaching and Mentoring, Workplace Psychology and Anger Management. I achieved a taught Doctoral Degree in Change Agent Studies from an overseas University.
I am a published author of student textbooks in Scots Law, two of which are in print and have gone to second editions.
Alasdair is a Master Practitioner of NLP and a stalwart and valued First Assistant on our Aberdeen Courses.
