Testimonials That NLP Highland Has Received

Presentation Testimonial

"I had the pleasure of working with Rosie when she came to talk for us at a recent women's IT networking event. She tailored her talk to suit our audience however, had a very large portfolio to choose from. She was a real hit with our audience as she was very personable, relaxed and informative on NLP and how it can help women in the workplace. Highly recommend her."

Lab Profile Testimonials

"I had never heard of NLP until I met Rosie and was fascinated by the concept and once I knew more I started to realise the impact I have on others and their understanding of what I am trying to communicate.

My initial reaction to Rosie's profile of me was - "you got all that in an hour....." and I have to say she was spot on, I cannot argue with any of her findings and what I really liked was her suggestions about how I could change and adapt the words I use.

Have I used this information? - maybe not consciously I don’t think I know enough to do that, but it certainly has made me think a lot more about my communication, especially when I am trying to get really important issues across to my section."

Diane Law, Payments Manager, Finance & ICT. The Moray Council

My own personal Language & Behaviour Profile helped me to understand myself better, recognise my strengths and defined what I'm really looking for in a job. I feel more focused in making the right choices and positive about the future.  Ania Kocik, Aberdeen, currently changing her life;)

The Profile carried out by Rosie O'Hara on me has been very useful in helping me focus more on an important aspect of my working life.  The process was painless and worth the time spent talking to Rosie.

John Downey.  Learning & Development Manager, Varis Engineering Ltd, Forres

Sometimes, something unexpected arrives-

I read your article "My left Breast” in Rapport magazine and I felt I had to write, to say hello! And to tell you what an absolute inspiration you are.  Such strength and dignity and I am fortunate enough to know you.   Since your helping me back in 2004/2005 I went on 2 NLP Practitioner courses.  I put some old demons to rest and and now doing an NLP Master Practitioner.  Your help and support was vital for me to gain trust in myself and NLP again.

I just can’t tell you loud enough how much of an inspiration you are. Joanne Thompson, Chester-le-St.

Mastering Language January 2009

I took part in Rosie's Mastering Language Course.  I found it quite inspirational and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Rosie is a great teacher and makes sure that you understand each concept before moving on.  The class numbers are deliberately small (there were 5 on this course) which allows Rosie to give more attention for each student.  This is in stark contrast to the last NLP event I attended where there were 60 students and I now realise how much of a difference being taught in a small group actually makes, the learning potential is multiplied tenfold!  I am really interested in continuing with my NLP studies and will certainly be attending more of Rosie's courses, I can highly recommend them.

Morag Duncan, IT Trainer, Aberdeen

Testimonials from our Winter Diploma Course 2009

I first got excited about NLP when I went along to a presentation given by Rosie O'Hara at an entrepreneur's event in Aberdeen.  I came away feeling really positive and motivated about the future and the process of NLP.

It started me thinking about what I wanted to do with my life and what training I needed to take to make a more positive change in both my personal and professional lives.

I certainly have benefitted from attending the training and practicing it in my everyday professional and personal life plus using it with my colleague.  I can't wait to find out more and how it can enhance more of my life.

I have been to a few motivating seminars run by Americans, attended by thousands. Whilst I got a lot out of them, I was uncomfortable with the hugging and the massaging each other and the hype they loaded you with over the day. Your feedback was from peers, but if you didn't really get it there was no extra support. I was looking forward to a smaller group with more one to one time with the expert. This was important to me as I really wanted to fully understand NLP and get a good grasp of the techniques.

One of the biggest challenges I am finding is putting it into practice. It's very easy to slip back into previous behaviour. This is something I need to focus on. I also get extremely frustrated sometimes with other people. I forget that they haven't undergone the same education and self development that I have experienced. I listen to the way people speak to each other and how they mis- read communication and relationships break up. NLP should be a part of everyone's education (I'm an idealist!!) what a different world we could create!

Thank you Rosie for sharing this incredible knowledge with me - I can't wait to apply it in life and to do more!  Knowledge is power - it's addictive!  Fiona Morrison, H2O Media, Forres

Testimonial from Diploma Course Participant Nov 2008

I have noticed how using NLP language, such as “I would like to invite you….” has improved the recruitment of patients onto our trial in Aberdeen.  Since changing how I am talking to patients about the trial, I have increased the number of people who consent – even when I least expect it.  In fact, there was one guy who I did not even give any detail about the trial, but just explained that since he was in a lot of pain, and he had seen his GP already that day, we would not prolong his visit by inviting him to take part; but if he wanted to we could do the consultations quickly – and he said yes!  Great stuff. Christine McClusky, Aberdeen

Testimonials from the Aberdeen Diploma Course June 2008

The Diploma Course has been a fantastic taster of NLP.  I have achieved what I wanted to get out of the course and want to go on and take it further.  I don't know of anyone that wouldn't benefit from the Diploma Course. Very empowering.

Kate Wemyss, Aberdeen, IT Office Manager (but not for long ;)) (note she move the office instead)

I came in with no knowledge of NLP and received an excellent introduction to it during my Diploma.  It has introduced me to concepts and exercises which helped me become more self aware and helpful to others.

Vivek Srivastava, Aberdeen, Doctor

Quote from a course participant in Kirkwall, Orkney (February 2008)

NLP has made me realise that we all have the resources to achieve our goals if we are prepared to change and retune. Richard Harrison, Orkney

Quotes from Teaching and Learning in Aberdeen December 2006

I want to thank you for a very enjoyable course this weekend.

I went along with a modest knowledge on NLP having read several articles etc, and came away with very practical knowledge that I certainly will practice and use in everyday scenarios.   Gwen Robertson, Socatots, Aberdeen
and re the Magical Spelling
The Magical spelling was great.  My brother and nephew have both used the exercise when doing his spelling for school.  Morgan found the whole experience overwhelming and Alan although sceptical at first has definitely been convinced.  I have used the exercise for words that I spell continuously wrong and after my spell checker has corrected the word examine the word to see it as a shape.   Anne Harper, Aberdeen

Quotes from the Diploma Course completed in November 2006

NLP Highland ran a course everyone with an enquiring mind should investigate.  Not only does it help you to help others to self discover positive outcomes to their problems, it also helps you to discover your own self and self worth.  Diana Mitchell, Auldearn

The more exposure I have to NLP techniques, the greater my curiosity and motivation to continue with learning.  By practising some of these techniques on myself, I hope to get rid of some of my self-limiting beliefs and improve my confidence in communicating with others in a constructive and helpful way.   Lesley Paterson, Elgin

Quote from seminar participant at Moray Expo 2006

Rosie, many thanks for the talk - it put me back in mind of the fact that we CAN be all-things-to-all-people - with a little help. It`s wonderful when all these things COME TO LIFE.
Stewart Gordon, Elgin
