Richard has spent his entire career in communications in one form or another.

A former Business Editor of The Journal regional newspaper based in Newcastle, he moved into Public Relations consultancy, eventually setting up his own business in 2002.

His fascination with how communication works (or doesn’t) has led to an interest in psychology and neuroscience. He is an NLP Practitioner, a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and has an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Performance Coaching from the University of Northumbria. His first degree (BA Hons) is in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Hull University. He is also a LAB Profile Practitioner, having trained with NLP Highland, and is now working towards becoming a LAB Profile Master Practitioner.

He has been a visiting lecturer in Journalism and Public Relations at the University of Sunderland.

He has also written and had broadcast an episode of the BBC daytime drama serial ‘Doctors.’
